Oasis Announces Partnership with Delara; Mexico Expansion

Jul 05, 2023

Miami, FL

Oasis Collections (oasiscollections.com), a pioneer of alternative accommodations, has announced a partnership with Mexico City-based hospitality start-up Delara (ourdelara.com). The partnership combines Delara’s focus on social, experiential travel with Oasis’ operational expertise and distribution network to bring a new type of stay to its’ guests, one that elevates and deepens the travel experience via human connection.

The world has fundamentally shifted and is demanding a new type of stay, one that combines hospitality, experience, and quality. We now not only want to see the world, but to quickly plug into every place we go. With at least 10% of workers in developed economies expected to continue working remotely, millions have the opportunity to embrace a new approach to how they live, work and play. Together, Oasis and Delara aim to create a new type of stay in cities around the world, bringing together the in- and out-of-home experiences to provide a tailor-made solution for this burgeoning population.

Travelers will have access to a curated, design-forward portfolio of apartment-homes in the heart of Mexico City, including prime neighborhoods Roma Norte, Condesa and Polanco. Stays can range from 3 nights to 1 year, and guests will have access to Delara’s soon-to-open social and co-working space, as well as invitation-only events.

The first co-branded property - Puebla 313 - launches July 1st in Roma Norte, the hottest neighborhood in Mexico City. This colonial-style building houses 14 fully-equipped 1- and 2-bedroom apartments, a central patio on the ground floor, and a spacious rooftop terrace with expansive city views. The companies aim to reach 50 rentals in CDMX in the next 12 months, while also launching the partnership in Paris later this year.

Oasis Collections Founder & CEO, Parker Stanberry, says “Delara has an exciting vision around experience design that perfectly aligns with the Oasis mission. We’ve always been passionate about offering more than just a place to stay - connecting people with the best a city has to offer and creating a community of like-minded travelers. This partnership will allow us to truly deliver on that mission.”

The partnership comes amidst a major Mexico expansion for Oasis. The company launched in CDMX in 2016, and is now doubling down on the market. The company will add over 80 rental homes this year - from privately-owned homes to boutique apartment buildings - more than doubling its footprint. Another 8-unit building, also in Roma Norte, is set to open in late-July. Oasis also plans to launch in Monterrey later this year, and additional urban markets (including Guadalajara) in 2024.

Stanberry says: “CDMX is one of our favorite cities, and more people are discovering its unique combination of culture, opportunity and affordability. The start-up ecosystem is booming, and the city is becoming a true global hub. We’re also very positive on Mexico generally, and are excited to add more Mexican cities to the Oasis map soon.”
